Job summary

The City of Idaho Falls is accepting applications for Instructor Aide/Ice Guard for the Fall and Winter seasons, October 1 through April 5. These positions support Learn to Skate classes and require reliable attendance, flexible evenings and weekend shifts, and strong skating skills.

You will assist with class activities, supervise public skate, hand out skates, guard the ice, and help with clean-up. This role emphasizes customer service, safety, and teamwork in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Instructor must have strong skating skills.
• Ability to work in all weather extremes and follow instructions.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Learn to Skate instructor with attendance and drills.
• Demonstrate skills and lead games or drills for students.
• Work public skate sessions and help with handing out skates.
• Assist with ice guarding and post-session clean-up.
• Ensure safety and assist the public during shifts.
