Job summary

The City of Idaho Falls is seeking staff to work in the Ice Arena for Fall and Winter seasons. Positions are seasonal through March 2027, performing unskilled and semi-skilled tasks related to daily operations, maintenance, and repair of the arena in Tautphaus Park. Hours will vary per week to cover shifts as needed.

Responsibilities include cashier duties, equipment rental checkout, cleaning, and shift reporting. Background check may be required for final candidates.

Qualifications

• Education and experience sufficient to perform duties.
• Strong customer service and cash handling skills.
• Ability to lift and handle skate equipment as needed.
• May require work nights, weekends, holidays, and/or on-call.

Responsibilities

• Perform cashier tasks including collecting payments, handling cash, and processing credit card payments.
• Check out rental equipment and assist with janitorial duties.
• Complete shift reports/logs for manager review; maintain property as required.
• Perform related duties as required.
