Job summary

DSE Hockey Centers LP in Euless, TX seeks a Facilities Operations Assistant to support the Operations Manager in maintaining the ice rink, building systems, and event readiness.

This role requires hands-on experience with ice maintenance, electrical, HVAC, and safety compliance, plus contractor coordination. The position may involve extended hours, nights, and weekends to accommodate events.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum five (5) years in operation/management of ice arena facilities or similar; at least 2 years in supervision.
• Knowledge of day-to-day ice rink business and general building maintenance.
• Experience with electrical circuits, outlets, lighting, and lighting ballasts.
• HVAC knowledge and ability to adjust systems to environmental needs.
• Safety standards knowledge (Occupational Health and Safety).
• Strong problem solving and time management.
• Experience driving forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts.
• Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook experience.
• Willingness to obtain OSHA 10 Hour/general industry and related certificates within six months.

Responsibilities

• Assist Operations Manager with facility maintenance.
• Coordinate with third-party contractors on maintenance tasks.
• Ensure facility readiness and adherence to safety policies during events.
• Identify and assign work orders; follow up on completion.
• Oversee preventative maintenance and staff work orders.
• Assist in budget adherence for maintenance activities.
