Job summary

Waukesha County Park System seeks an Ice Arena Attendant/Concessionaire to deliver friendly service, manage skate rentals, and support skating activities. This role blends customer care with basic food service in a community setting.

Work is year-round, 10-15 hours weekly, with nights, weekends, and some holidays required. Candidates should be able to skate, handle money, follow safety guidelines, and work well with the public. Prior background in cash handling and customer service is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to skate and assist with skate passing and lessons.
• Basic food safety and handling knowledge.
• Cash handling and customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently or in a team and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Watches over ice skaters on the ice, ensuring safe activity.
• Assists with skate lessons and scorekeeping.
• Passes out and cleans skates.
• Sells beverages and snacks.
• Operates POS cash register and adheres to cash handling policies.
• Maintains safe working conditions and sanitary work area.
• Performs basic cleaning (sweeping, mopping and trash removal).
• Provides great customer service.
• Interacts with customers and coworkers in a pleasant and professional manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
