Work Schedule: this position is intended to work year around, 10-15 hours per week. Must be able to work nights, weekends, and some holidays. Prior to hiring, the final candidate may be subject to work/education/certification reference(s) and pass a criminal background and driver's license check.

EXAMPLE DUTIES

• Watches over ice skaters (on the ice, while skating), ensuring safe activity.
• Assists with skate lessons and scorekeeping.
• Passes out and cleans skates.
• Sells beverages and snacks.
• Operates POS cash register and adheres to cash handling policies.
• Maintains safe working conditions and sanitary work area.
• Performs basic cleaning (sweeping, mopping and trash removal).
• Provides great customer service.
• Interacts with customers and coworkers in a pleasant and professional manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Essential Knowledge and Abilities
• Ability to skate.
• Ability to accurately count and handle money.
• Knowledge of basic food safety and handling.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, including providing excellent customer service.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working and public relations with co-workers, supervisors, and the public.
• Ability to effectively interact with sensitivity with persons from diverse cultural, socioeconomic, educational, racial, ethnic, and professional backgrounds, and persons of all ages and lifestyles.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push/pull, and lift up to 10-20 lbs. on an occasional basis.
• You must meet these Minimum Training and Experience requirements: 15 years of age 8th grade education. Some recent cash handling and customer service work experience.
