Job summary

The Waukesha County Park System is seeking an Ice Arena Attendant/Concessionaire to support rink operations, assist with skate lessons, and sell snacks. This part-time role requires skating ability, reliable cash handling, and excellent customer service. You will work 10-15 hours weekly, including nights, weekends, and some holidays, at our ice arena.

Qualifications

• Ability to skate and pass on safety.
• Able to accurately count money and handle cash.
• Knowledge of basic food safety and handling.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Able to work independently or in a team.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to interact with diverse customers with professionalism.
• Stand, walk, and lift up to 20 lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Monitor ice area to ensure safe skating.
• Assist with skate lessons and scorekeeping.
• Issue and clean skates for customers.
• Sell beverages and snacks at the concession stand.
• Operate POS and follow cash handling policies.
• Keep workspace clean and sanitary.
• Provide friendly, professional service to guests.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
