Job summary

Waukesha County Park System is seeking a Head Ice Arena Attendant in Wisconsin for part‑time, year‑round hours (10–15 per week). The role requires the ability to skate, provide excellent customer service, and supervise staff as needed.

You will operate ice equipment, assist in Learn to Skate programs, and ensure safe, welcoming environments for skaters and guests. Position requires a valid driver’s license, 18+ years of age, and prior cash handling experience.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• 8th grade education required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Some recent supervisory work experience.
• Some recent cash handling and customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervises part‑time staff.
• Operates ice equipment.
• Assists in running Learn to Skate.
• Watche​s over ice skaters and ensures safe activity.
• Opens and closes the facility.
• Provides excellent customer service.
• Interacts with customers and coworkers professionally.
• Maintains a safe and sanitary work area.
• Performs basic cleaning tasks (sweeping, mopping, trash removal).
• Performs other duties as assigned.
