Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assigns ICD-10 and CPT codes for diagnosis, procedures, and services.
• Codes claims to obtain reimbursement from insurance or government programs.
• Reads and analyzes patient records to extract precise information.
• Requests diagnosis from physicians when information is incomplete.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient care information and chart contents.
• Clarifies diagnosis and treatment information with physicians as needed.
• Reviews and resolves error reports related to billing processes.
