Job summary

Responsibilities include monitoring denials, improving workflow, and assisting patients and insurers with billing questions. The role requires CPC/CCS-P or the ability to pass Toledo Clinic’s coding test, with professional attire and punctuality expected.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding required.
• Ability to enter charges and process claims accurately.
• Familiarity with billing workflows and denials management.
• Certification in CPC or CCS-P preferred or able to pass Toledo Clinic’s coding test.

Responsibilities

• Apply CPT and ICD-10 codes to procedures for each date of service.
• Enter charges into claim entry in eCW.
• Monitor, submit and correct all claim activity.
• Create workflow processes to improve accuracy and accountability.
• Assist patients or insurers with billing and authorization questions.
• Coordinate with providers to ensure visits are billed and documented properly.
