Job summary

Alpha Generation is seeking a highly motivated Instrumentation, Controls and Electrical (IC&E) Technician to join the Brandywine Power Facility. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and hands-on maintenance of instrumentation, control systems, and electrical equipment across plant assets.

The successful candidate will troubleshoot DCS/PLC systems, calibrate instrumentation, and interpret engineering drawings.

Qualifications

Minimum 4 years of Instrumentation, Control systems, and Electrical experience in a power generation, utility, or marine propulsion environment.
Knowledge of power utility industry standards, process safety measures, safe work practices, PPE, equipment sizing, analysis calculations, NFPA 70 electrical code.
Valid Driver’s License required with ability to operate a motor vehicle.

Responsibilities

Maintain, troubleshoot, and calibrate plant instrumentation, control systems, and electrical equipment at the facility.
Interpret engineering drawings—schematics, P&IDs, and one-line diagrams—and produce marked-up field condition prints.
Troubleshoot DCS/PLC controls with a focus on GE Mark V/VIe and Emerson Ovation systems.
Perform transmitter and valve calibrations, insulation resistance tests, and battery/probe checks.
Work with turbines, generators, boilers, motors, pumps, and high/low voltage switchgear up to 15 kV.
