Job summary

Vistra in Dover, Delaware seeks an IC&E Maintenance Technician to install, calibrate, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant instrumentation, control systems, and electrical equipment across a combined-cycle power facility.

You will support DCS/PLC/HMI systems, perform loop checks, read drawings, participate in outages, and help improve reliability while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of industrial maintenance experience in instrumentation, controls, or electrical systems, preferably in power generation, refineries, chemical plants, or heavy industrial facilities.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and control logic documentation.
• Proficiency using test equipment such as: Multimeters, Meggers, Process calibrators, Loop calibrators.

Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain instrumentation and control systems throughout the facility.
• Maintain and support Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Human Machine Interfaces (HMI), and related control network infrastructure.
• Calibrate and maintain: Pressure transmitters, Temperature instruments, Flow instrumentation, Level instrumentation, Vibration monitoring equipment, Analytical equipment, Control valves and actuators.
• Support turbine control system maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Perform loop checks, functional testing, and startup verification activities.
• Read and interpret: One-line diagrams, Wiring schematics, Control drawings, Electrical construction drawings
