NAES Corporation is seeking an Instrumentation, Controls and Electrical (IC&E) Technician at Altavista Power Station in Altavista, VA. The role focuses on calibration, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of instrumentation, control, and electrical systems for biomass-fired power generation.

You will work closely with plant personnel to improve reliability, efficiency, and safety, performing preventive and emergency maintenance, and coordinating with contractors as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred or technical training equivalent.
• Experience in instrumentation, controls, and electrical maintenance in power generation or biomass facilities.
• Hands-on knowledge of switchgear, MCCs, transformers, and generators.

Responsabilités

• Install, calibrate, test, troubleshoot, repair instrumentation and control systems (PLCs, DCS, valves, transmitters).
• Develop and optimize PLC/DCS control logic with engineering and plant staff.
• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment (switchgear, MCCs, transformers, motors).
• Calibrate process instrumentation and CEMS; troubleshoot boiler/turbine systems.
