Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline; equivalent experience may be substituted.
• Progressive supervisory or management experience in power plant operations.
• Knowledge of biomass power generation, environmental compliance, and safety culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Operations Team to safe, reliable, and efficient biomass facility operation.
• Develop and manage the operations budget for reliable generation and asset performance.
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, and on‑call support for continuous plant operation.
• Direct biomass fuel receiving, storage, quality assurance, inventory, and fuel yard operations.
• Analyze plant performance data to improve generation and reduce costs.
• Coordinate with Maintenance to set maintenance priorities and outage plans.
• Ensure accurate records and regulatory compliance reporting.
• Lead operator training, qualification, and safety initiatives.
• Manage environmental compliance activities and emissions permits.
• Coordinate with utility reps and system dispatch for reliable power delivery.
• Represent operations during audits and interactions with ownership/regulators.
• Perform other duties to support safe, compliant operation.
