Job summary

3Core Systems, Inc. seeks an experienced AS400 Developer/Admin for a long-term contract in Oklahoma City. The role focuses on application maintenance, database management, and administration of IBM i environments hosted by a provider.

You will also liaise with Ensono for environment changes and support cloud migration efforts. Required five years of hands-on AS400 experience, strong RPG/CL/SQL skills, and experience with FTP/SFTP integrations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of hands-on AS400 (IBM i, iSeries) development and support.
• Proficiency in RPG IV (ILE RPG), RPGLE, CL, and SQL on DB2 for i.
• Experience coordinating with hosted/managed AS400 environments and external hosting providers (e.g., Ensono).
• Proven experience in IBM i work management, subsystems, security, and user profiles.
• Strong background in FTP/SFTP file transfers and external integrations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, modify, and optimize legacy RPG/CL code (ILE RPG, RPGLE, CL).
• Troubleshoot operational issues, batch anomalies, and user-reported problems.
• Coordinate with hosting provider for system maintenance and environment changes.
• Manage application security, user profiles, and QAUDJRN logs.
• Support DB2 for i queries, tuning, and secure file transfers.
• Assist with database extraction, documentation of legacy logic, and cloud migration prep.
