Job summary

Prime Healthcare Services in Olympia Fields, IL seeks a Lactation Consultant to provide skilled lactation care to mothers and infants across inpatient and outpatient settings. You will promote breastfeeding, educate staff, and coordinate with physicians to facilitate patient care.

Requirements include IBCLC within six months, RN license, BLS, NRP within 30 days, and at least one year of experience. A sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• IBCLC required within six (6) months of hire.
• State RN license required.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• NRP within 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• At least one (1) year of previous experience.
• Experience using computers for consultation documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled lactation care to breastfeeding mothers and infants in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Promote breastfeeding and support evidence-based care management.
• Coordinate with physicians, patients, and departments to facilitate care.
• Order and restock breastfeeding/pump supplies; document in EMR.
• Educate nursing staff and facilitate patient education classes.
