Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Nurse Lactation Consultant for our Illinois Masonic Medical Center Obstetrics/Gynecology and Pediatric Office. This part-time registry role requires a BSN, Illinois RN license, and IBCLC certification or accredited pathway within 2 years.

Responsibilities include lactation care coordination, education, and program development. Role involves 12-hour day shifts (7am-7pm) with at least five shifts every six weeks, including two weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• BSN required with 3 years of Maternal Child Nursing experience.
• Illinois RN license required; IBCLC certification or eligibility with timeline.
• Basic computer skills and effective interpersonal communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide lactation management and care coordination for patients.
• Educate mothers, families and care teams on lactation best practices.
• Develop and implement lactation plans of care and program education.
• Participate in policy and quality improvement for lactation services.
• Maintain liaison between hospital, providers and community resources.
