Job summary

Okta seeks a Solutions Engineer to act as the technical and domain expert for a customer-facing sales team, delivering product demonstrations and customized solutions that educate customers on Okta’s Identity Platform. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Solutions Engineers, you will run proofs of concept, answer technical questions, and collaborate with engineering teams.

Candidates should have IAM expertise, REST API experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of pre-sales engineering experience in IAM.
• Strong understanding of OAuth 2.0, OIDC, and SAML.
• Experience with lifecycle management, RBAC, and provisioning/deprovisioning.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, CS, MIS, or comparable field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical and domain expert for Corporate/New Business sales team.
• Deliver product demonstrations and run Proof Of Concepts.
• Answer product questions from customers, partners and colleagues.
• Plan and deliver PoCs for complex use cases across Okta teams.
• Capture feedback to product management for improvements.
• Share best practices and reusable assets with the Solutions Engineering team.
• Stay current on competitive analysis and market differentiation.
• Support marketing events and executive briefings.
• Act as SME on various product solutions when needed.
