Job summary

Southwest Power Pool (SPP) invites students to join as a Summer 2027 Information Security and Access Management Internship – Identity and Access Management Analyst. Based in Little Rock, this hybrid, 10–12 week internship offers hands-on experience designing, implementing, and supporting IAM controls within a mature security program.

You will work onsite with IT teams, learn governance processes, and deliver a capstone presentation.

Qualifications

College student entering senior year pursuing a related degree.
3.0 GPA or higher.
Strong interest in cybersecurity and IT systems.
Desire to work in the power industry.
Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Eagerness to learn and contribute to real-world cybersecurity projects.

Responsibilities

Support IAM day-to-day operations, provisioning, de-provisioning, and access reviews.
Conduct data analysis and cleanup to support compliance and audit requirements.
Assist in system maintenance, patching, and real-time troubleshooting of IAM apps.
Participate in user acceptance and performance testing for updates.
Help develop and document security policies, procedures, and standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align IAM with cybersecurity strategy.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in access control and governance.
