Job summary

The University of Southern California (USC) is seeking a detail-oriented IACUC Coordinator to join the Office of Research & Innovation. This role supports regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and continuous process improvement within USC's animal care and use oversight program.

Reporting to the Associate Director, the coordinator will manage IACUC training, coordinate inspections, and provide administrative support for Designated Member Reviews (DMRs), ensuring timely, accurate

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2–3 years of experience in research administration, compliance, or regulatory oversight preferred.
• Familiarity with federal animal research regulations (e.g., PHS Policy, Animal Welfare Act) preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines independently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage and coordinate required IACUC training program(s) for PIs, laboratory personnel, and committee members.
• Coordinate semi-annual and focused IACUC inspections and maintain inspection records.
• Provide administrative support for the Designated Member Review (DMR) process.
• Generate metrics and reports related to inspections, training, and DMR activity.
• Support audit preparation and regulatory reporting as needed.
