Job summary

The Director of Animal Welfare Services at University of Oregon leads IACUC support and ensures compliance with federal, state, and AAALAC standards. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree required.
  • CPIA certification OR CPIA-track experience with sit-for- CPIA within 1 year of hire.
  • Three years’ experience with federal/state animal research regulations and standards.
  • Willingness to be in the office at least four days per week or more.

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance to IACUC communications and records.
  • Lead training programs with facilities staff and veterinarians.
  • Serve as primary liaison with OLAW, USDA, and collaborating institutions.
  • Manage AWS support staff and departmental operations.
