Job summary

The University of Chicago is seeking an IACUC/IBC Senior Analyst to maintain regulatory compliance programs and support investigators in navigating animal and biosafety protocols.

You will prepare committee materials, coordinate facility inspections, conduct internal reviews, and assist with post-approval monitoring in collaboration with University Research Administration. A detail-oriented, collaborative mindset is essential for upholding the integrity of research on campus.

Qualifications

• College or university degree in a related field.
• 2–5 years of related work experience in regulatory/compliance role.
• Experience with animal research compliance is preferred.
• Knowledge of federal regulations and institutional policies.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to investigators in the preparation of animal and biosafety protocols, using the electronic AURA system for IACUC/IBC reviews.
• Ensure biosafety protocols are completed with necessary ancillary reviews (Office of Chemical Safety, Office of Radiation Safety).
• Prepare and conduct IACUC Semi-Annual Facility Inspections; assist with PAM and related reviews.
• Coordinate department or clinic compliance with a moderate level of guidance.
• Plan and execute internal and external audits and activities to support regulatory inspections.
• Prepare, complete and submit compliance documentation; coordinate committee meetings.
• Perform other related work as needed.
