Job summary

Orion Engineered Carbons Bondco GmbH is seeking an Instrumentation and Electronics (I&E) Technician to repair and install process control instrumentation, electrical equipment, sensors, and electronic devices across our manufacturing sites.

The role emphasizes preventative maintenance on pumps, compressors, blowers, and related equipment, along with meticulous documentation and a clean, organized workspace. Experience in industrial electronics is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

Associate degree in industrial electronics preferred; degreed or experienced candidates considered.
For degreed candidates, 2+ years of relevant experience; new graduates may be considered.
For non-degreed candidates, 5+ years of I&E technician experience in a chemical plant or refinery required; military experience may count.

Responsibilities

Install, replace, calibrate, and troubleshoot electrically powered equipment and devices used to monitor and control the manufacturing process.
Perform preventative maintenance checks on pumps, compressors, blowers, and auxiliary equipment.
Inspect and maintain control equipment and related systems to ensure proper operation.
Keep an organized work area; store tools, parts, and materials neatly to improve efficiency.
Maintain required documentation and records.
