Job summary

Orion S.A. is seeking an Instrumentation and Electronics (I&E) Technician in the United States, Kansas, Belpre, to repair and install process control instrumentation, electrical equipment, sensors, and electronic devices.

Key duties include installation, calibration, and troubleshooting of electrically powered monitoring equipment, performing preventive maintenance on pumps and compressors, and maintaining documentation and organized workspaces.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in industrial electronics or related field preferred; experience may substitute.
• For degreed candidates: minimum two years relevant experience; new graduates may be considered.
• For non-degreed candidates: minimum five years I&E technician experience in a chemical plant or refinery; military equivalent counts.

Responsibilities

The Instrumentation and Electronics (I&E) Technician repairs and installs process control instrumentation, electrical equipment, sensors, and electronic devices.

Essential Duties:

• Install, replace, calibrate, and troubleshoot electrically powered equipment and other devices that are used to monitor and control the manufacturing process.
• Perform preventative maintenance checks on pumps, compressors, blowers, and auxiliary equipment.
• Perform inspection and maintenance checks on control equipment.
• Maintain an organized work area to ensure tools, parts, and materials are stored in a neat and orderly manner to improve efficiency.
• Maintain required documentation and records.

Qualifications:

• An associate degree in industrial electronics or a related field is strongly preferred for this position. Experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
• For degreed candidates, a minimum of two years of relevant experience is preferred; new graduates who have completed an internship may be considered.
• For non-degreed candidates, a minimum of five years of experience as an I&E technician in a chemical plant or refinery are required. Experience in the Armed Forces in an equivalent role may count toward this experience requirement.
• The ability to use or quickly learn SAP is a plus.
