Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking an Instrumentation-Electrical (I&E) Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain instrument and electrical systems, including PLCs and DCS hardware. The role requires troubleshooting of critical equipment, reading schematics, and ensuring safety and code compliance.

The position involves maintaining 480/240 Volt MCC and Power Distribution Systems, performing preventive maintenance, and working with electricians to replace control devices.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in industrial electrical/electronic technology or equivalent
• Five years of industrial I&E maintenance experience
• Ability to read electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic drawings and schematics
• Experience with PLCs and CNCs
• Strong English communication skills

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair instrument and electrical system failures
• Troubleshoot AC/DC electronics and control circuits
• Read/interpret electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and instrumentation drawings
• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain PLC and/or DCS hardware and software
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance and safety checks
• Move, install, and wire equipment in high voltage areas
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes and company procedures
