Job summary

CF Industries is seeking an I&E Maintenance Technician to provide instrumentation and electrical maintenance, engineering support, and training across Distribution Facilities. You will design and install projects, maintain documentation, and supervise contractors on major work.

The role requires a deep background in instrumentation and controls, PLC/HMI installations, and familiarity with RS Logix/RS Studio; AutoCAD is preferred along with OSHAs PSM knowledge.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience in plant Instrument & Electrical (I&E).
• Undergraduate technical degree is helpful but not required.
• Deep background in instrumentation and controls with PLC/HMI installations.
• Familiarity with RS Logix and RS Studio.
• AutoCAD experience preferred.
• OSHAs Process Safety Management knowledge preferred.
• Willingness to travel 70-80%.

Responsibilities

• Provides project design, installation, and associated documentation.
• Installs and maintains Instrument & Electrical equipment throughout Distribution Facilities.
• Assists engineering and/or other I&E personnel on projects.
• Supervises external Instrument & Electrical contractors during major work.
• Develops and maintains facility process documentation (P&IDs, electrical prints).
• Trains operations personnel in troubleshooting Instrument & Electrical equipment.
• Assists in establishing preventative maintenance programs and recordkeeping.
• Provides electrical work safety training for operations personnel.
