Job summary

Energy Transfer is seeking an Instrument and Electrical Technician to support construction, plant facilities and field operations. You will repair, install, troubleshoot, and perform predictive and preventative maintenance on control systems, pump stations, SCADA, and related equipment within liquid facilities and pipelines.

Responsibilities include installing and maintaining PLCs or DCS, reading manuals and schematics, testing safety devices per DOT and PSM requirements, and mentoring less

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Experience levels: Level C 0–2, Level B 2–4, Level A 4+ years in industry.
• Valid driver's license with safe driving record.
• Proficiency with MS Office including Outlook/Word.
• Experience troubleshooting, designing, or configuring control solutions (In Touch Wonderware, FactoryTalk, RSLogix, DeltaV).
• Knowledge of DOT 192/193/195 and OSHA 1910 related to electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, diagnose, and maintain SCADA, plant, pipeline, and compressor instrument and electrical equipment.
• Maintain pneumatic and intelligent instruments, electrical distribution, motor control gear, and related software.
• Install, diagnose, and maintain PLCs or DCS systems and process/safety controls.
• Read manuals, drawings, and engineering standards, acknowledging P&ID’s.
• Test and document safety devices per regulatory requirements and keep maintenance frequencies current.
• Support on-call duties and safety program participation.
• Provide mentoring and oversight to less qualified staff and review work by contractors.
