Job summary

Luminant in Providence, RI is seeking an I&E Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, install and repair instrumentation, control systems, and electrical equipment at a combined cycle power plant. The role is covered by a bargaining unit.

You will perform preventive and predictive maintenance, read drawings, operate Maximo, and work with Honeywell Experion, Siemens T3000, and Allen-Bradley equipment. Overtime may be required and safety rules strictly followed.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Two years of trade or technical school with training in the fundamentals of The Power Plant Cycle preferred.
Six years experience in maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of instrument and electrical (I&E) systems, and equipment in a power plant or similar industrial setting.
Demonstrated ability in reading process & instrumentation diagrams, electrical one-line diagrams and logic diagrams, and use of test equipment through a practical exam.
Obtain RI Crane Operators license and RI Journeyman Electrician license within specified timelines.

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair I&E equipment at a combined cycle power plant.
Perform scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance activities.
Analyze equipment performance and recommend corrective action.
Maintain and troubleshoot all control systems (Honeywell Experion, Siemens T3000, Honeywell TDC3000, Allen Bradley).
Observe safety rules, document work, and assist with safety programs.
