Job summary

Luminant Power LLC is seeking an Instrumentation, Controls and Electrical Production Technician for the Ontelaunee Plant in Reading, PA. This role covers safe operation and maintenance of a 2x1 combined cycle facility using Siemens 501F turbines and Siemens KN turbine controls.

Expect strict adherence to safety practices and proactive maintenance. Responsibilities include troubleshooting high voltage equipment, updating P&IDs and panel schedules, and coordinating with vendors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 4–6 years in an industrial environment.
• Experience with electrical motors, DC/AC, and PM inspections.
• Knowledge of high voltage switching and relaying equipment.
• Ability to read mechanical/electrical drawings (P&IDs) and document work.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain a 2x1 combined cycle plant safely and efficiently.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment and control systems.
• Monitor CEM systems and respond to unit trips or alarms.
• Coordinate with vendors for parts and support as needed.
• Maintain Maximo work orders, equipment PMs, and documentation.
• Interpret P&IDs and keep electrical/controls panels up to date.
