Job summary

Energy Transfer is seeking an instrumental and electrical technician to provide technical support across construction, plant facilities, and field operations. You will repair, install, troubleshoot, and perform predictive and preventative maintenance on control systems, SCADA, and related equipment in gas and liquid facilities and pipelines.

The role involves inspecting PLCs/DCS, reading schematics, and ensuring compliance with DOT and OSHA standards, with on-call duties and safety program

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• MS Office Suite proficiency including Outlook and Word.
• Experience using software to troubleshoot, design, or configure control solutions such as In Touch Wonderware, FactoryTalk, RSLogix, or DeltaV.
• Extensive knowledge of DOT 192/193/195 and OSHA 1910 related to electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, diagnose, and maintain SCADA systems, plant, pipeline, and compressor instrument and electrical equipment components.
• Install, diagnose, and maintain pneumatic and intelligent instruments, electrical distribution systems, motor control gear, and associated equipment software.
• Install, diagnose, and maintain PLC's or DCS systems & process or safety controls.
• Read and interpret manuals, policy, engineering standards, regulations, drawings, and schematics, including electrical, pneumatic, and P&ID’s.
• Test, calibrate, and document plant and compressor station control and safety devices per DOT 192, DOT 193, DOT 195 or applicable PSM 1910 requirements and ensure frequencies of required preventative maintenance task are kept current.
• Participate in call out/on call requirements
• Actively participate in partnership safety programs and initiatives
• Provide work direction, oversight, and inspect other work provided by third party contractors
• Provide mentoring and oversight to less qualified employees
• Provide accurate written and electronic reporting
• Comply with partnership safety policies and procedures
• Perform energy isolation lockout/tagout procedures (LOTO)
