- Perform daily assignments of an instrument, mechanical or electrical nature.
- Perform special assignments as may be required by the Maintenance Supervisors or Maintenance Manager.

- Be proficient in the use of company mobile equipment including, but not limited to forklifts, scissors lift, JLG, Mule and trucks operation.
- Perform instrumentation tasks such as, but not limited to the change outs of field controllers, probes, automatic valves, and operators.
- Perform instrument calibrations for all field instruments, including but not limited to flow meters, temperature probes, pH meters, density meters, pressure transmitters, level transmitters, and other field devices.
- Perform any necessary welding and fabrication functions.
- Perform necessary lathe and milling functions.
- Perform proper assembly and rigging functions necessary to complete equipment repairs.
- Perform necessary alignment and balancing functions.
- Use specialty hand and shop tools, such as, but not limited to volt and amp meters, meggers, D.C. voltage equipment, hot sticks, static trip test set, ground fault-testers, drills, grinders, cut-off saws, and wrenches.
- Understand and comply with all Plant rules and Safety requirements.
- Understand and comply with ISO and FSSC requirements.
- Be able to prioritize and organize work to make efficient use of resources.
- Determine appropriate parts, tools, equipment and manpower for all assignments.
- Perform Preventive Maintenance inspections, safety inspections and audits as assigned and provide timely documentation on findings.
- Troubleshoot the Foxboro I/A and Allen Bradley PLC systems.
- Troubleshoot low, medium, and high voltage electrical problems and identify proper repairs.
- Understand ladder diagrams and general control circuit systems. Review and check maintenance documentation for accuracy as required.
- Communicate the status of daily assignments to maintenance supervisors, maintenance planner and operations coordinators, engineers, operations manager, and maintenance manager as required.
- Carry a cell phone as required (usually every eighth week) to answer and respond to plant call-ins to troubleshoot I/E or mechanical problems and to make proper assessments when additional assistance is needed to make repairs.
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
- Instrument Electrical Certification a plus
- Prior instrument mechanical and electrical maintenance experience.
- Knowledge level in the use of hand and shop tools.
- Demonstrated effective troubleshooting methods and successes.
- Ability to lift and carry 55 lbs., climb ladders and work at heights.
- Able to learn new tasks and assignments and demonstrated willingness to maintain flexibility and support change.
- Able to work in a team environment.
- Prior experience maintaining low, medium, and high voltage equipment.
- Prior experience of maintaining analog and digital control systems.
- Work weekends and holidays as the schedule requires and work overtime when requested.
- Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently under limited supervision.
- Demonstrated effective organizational and prioritization skills.
- Demonstrated good decision making ability.
