Job summary

Pilgrim's is seeking an I&E Specialist to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve electrical, instrumentation, and automated control systems across the facility. You will support maintenance and production teams with PLCs, motor controls, HMIs, and process automation to ensure safe, reliable plant operations.

The role emphasizes troubleshooting, PMs, system upgrades, and continuous improvement, with opportunities to contribute to reliability programs and plant projects.

Qualifications

• Experience with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs and related automation equipment.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and control drawings.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, instrumentation, and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, instrumentation, and control systems throughout the facility.
• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) on electrical and automation equipment.
• Assist with implementation, startup, and optimization of new control systems and equipment.
• Research, recommend, and develop improved electrical and control processes to increase reliability and efficiency.
• Monitor recurring equipment failures, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Identify weaknesses within electrical and automation systems and develop long-term solutions.
• Document modifications, repairs, and changes to electrical and control systems.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and reliability programs.
