Job summary

Evergy is hiring an I&C Technician for the Lake Road Generating Station in St. Joseph, Missouri. The role focuses on inspecting, testing, and calibrating complex electrical and mechanical systems, with emphasis on instruments and controls.

A strong background in control systems and signal testing is required. Candidates should have five years of power plant or equivalent industrial experience, including three years as a technician, plus completion of Evergy's technician training or equivalent

Qualifications

• Five years' experience in an electrical generation power plant or similar industrial concern with at least three years' experience as a technician.
• Training and experience should include maintaining complex control systems involving electronic, pneumatic, and mechanical devices.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, analyze, repair, test, clean and calibrate complex electrical and mechanical systems. Install and maintain all types of instruments and controls.
• Ability to utilize all types of test equipment to diagnose electronic and mechanical equipment performance.
• Assist on performance and acceptance tests on new and existing equipment.
• Performs similar and related work consistent with the general nature of this job classification.
