Job summary

Veolia North America, LLC seeks an Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) Technician to support the safe, reliable operation of a multi-engine power generation facility. You will troubleshoot, maintain, calibrate, and repair electrical, instrumentation, controls, and automation systems on engine-generator packages and balance-of-plant equipment.

The position requires 4 years of progressive I&E experience, knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and high-voltage systems up to 34,500 volts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Technical training or apprenticeship in instrumentation, electrical, controls, automation, or power generation preferred.
• 4 years of progressive experience as an I&E/ electrical/controls technician in heavy industry.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain, calibrate, and repair plant instrumentation, electrical systems, and control systems for engine-generator units and balance‑of‑plant equipment.
• Maintain instrumentation such as pressure, temperature, level, flow, and related sensors.
• Support maintenance on PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and motor controls.
• Troubleshoot electrical circuits, control wiring, relays, sensors, and field devices.
• Support electrical maintenance on high/low voltage equipment including switchgear and MCCs.
• Perform inspection and functional checks on valves, actuators, dampers, sensors, and interlocks.
• Participate in root cause analysis and preventive/predictive maintenance planning.
• Document maintenance activities in CMMS and maintain a safe work area.
