Job summary

OGE Energy Corp. is seeking a skilled Instrumentation & Controls technician to maintain and calibrate plant control systems. This role supports efficient power generation under varying conditions and will be posted for Level I/II eligibility.

The candidate will troubleshoot PLC/DC systems and HMIs, perform testing on safety systems, and document calibration results. This position requires flexibility to work in a multi-craft crew and may involve overtime, on-call duties, and working at heights

Qualifications

Associate's Degree or equivalent experience in instrumentation & controls.
1 year of experience in Instrumentation & Controls/Industrial Controls for Level I.
1 year of Instrumentation & Controls experience for Level II if paired with a technical degree.
Certificate from a vocational program in Instrumentation & Controls.
Military service documented on DD Form 214 may be substituted for experience.

Responsibilities

Maintain, calibrate and troubleshoot process and safety instrumentation for power generation.
Schedule and coordinate daily activities with supervisor.
Provide troubleshooting and programming modifications for PLC/DC systems and HMI systems.
Test process instruments and safety systems (ESD, fire, gas).
Prepare calibration/testing reports for documentation.
