Job summary
The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is seeking an Instrumentations and Control Systems Engineer to design and support I&C used to operate the Virginia Class submarine nuclear reactor plant. You will become an expert in areas such as sensor technology, failure analysis, power electronics, and procedure development to ensure safe and reliable reactor protection and control.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related technical, engineering or science field with at least 4 years of relevant experience; or Masters with at least 2 years; or Doctorate.
- Alternatively, currently an Advanced Reactor Training Engineer, Refueling Engineer, or Field (RPCO) Engineer at the Company.
Responsibilities
- Define system level requirements for design changes and modifications.
- Troubleshoot instrumentation problems needed to support the Virginia Class reactor plants.
- Develop technical recommendations/reports for equipment or procedure improvements.
- Data analysis to identify fleet issues.
- Support innovation initiatives to help improve I&C and minimize fleet maintenance burden.
