Job summary

Naval Nuclear Laboratory seeks a Senior Engineer to contribute to the IPMP Phase IV interfaces for Virginia-class submarines. You will integrate shipboard power systems using design, testing, and operation knowledge, collaborating across sites and with Naval Reactors.

Responsibilities include delivering technical work, planning cognizant efforts, and coordinating with multiple stakeholders; occasional travel to EB, Newport News, and other sites is required.

Qualifications

• Degree requirements: Bachelor/Master/Doctorate in a technical, engineering or science field with relevant experience.
• Alternative: currently a Senior Reactor Training Engineer, Refueling Engineer, or RPCO Engineer at the Company.

Responsibilities

• Deliver technical work on electrical power systems for IPMP/SSN(X) programs.
• Team with stakeholders across multiple organizations and locations.
• Plan cognizant efforts and coordinate work planning.
• Occasional travel between sites, EB, and Newport News for meetings.
