Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company LLC is seeking a Shop Technician II in New Stanton, PA. This on-site role supports I&C/Engineering with assembly, testing, repair, and refurbishment of equipment per engineering instructions.

The incumbent reports to the Assistant Area Manager for I&C Operations and works five days on site. The position demands reading complex drawings, using test equipment, and collaborating across teams to ensure quality and timely completion.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of relevant electrical, mechanical, machining or inspection experience.
• Preferred ANSI N45.2.6 inspection certification.
• US Department of Labor Journeyman certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret semi-complex mechanical and electrical drawings, codes, schematics, manuals and BOMs; data recorded accurately.
• Operate electrical/electronic test equipment and interpret results.
• Plan, lay out, assemble or fabricate mechanical, electrical, pneumatic/hydraulic equipment.
• Coach, train, or mentor others at equal or lower levels; collaborate with planners and supervisors to develop schedules and budgets.
• Develop and maintain equipment maintenance and mobilization plans; drive continuous improvement.
