Job summary
Westinghouse Electric Company in New Stanton, PA seeks a Shop Technician I in Instrumentation and Control. You will assemble, troubleshoot, test, and maintain circuitry or electronic components per engineering instructions. This on-site role supports electrical/IC/mechanical assembly, repair, testing, and refurbishment of equipment. You will report to the Assistant Area Manager for I&C Operations, and work on-site five days a week.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
1 year of relevant experience with demonstrated electrical, mechanical, machining or inspection skills.
Specific knowledge of electrical or mechanical drawing, or machining.
Responsibilities
Work with basic mechanical and electrical drawings, codes, schematics, manuals, blueprints and procedures, and record data in the required form.
Work with electrical equipment and painting methods, hand and power tool usage.
Apply knowledge of basic electronic theory and components to build or repair assemblies.
Install components, units, subassemblies, wiring, or assembly casings, using rivets, bolts, connectors, or soldering.
Operate electrical/electronic test equipment.
