Westinghouse Electric Company LLC is seeking a Shop Technician I for the Instrumentation and Control area at the New Stanton, PA facility. The role involves assembling, testing, and maintaining circuitry according to engineering instructions, using hand and power tools, including soldering.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of relevant experience with demonstrated electrical, mechanical, machining or inspection skills.
• Specific knowledge of electrical or mechanical drawing, or machining.

Responsibilities

• Work with basic mechanical and electrical drawings, codes, schematics, manuals, blueprints and procedures, and record data in the required form.
• Work with electrical equipment and painting methods, hand and power tool usage.
• Apply knowledge of basic electronic theory and components to build or repair assemblies.
• Install components, units, subassemblies, wiring, or assembly casings, using rivets, bolts, connectors, or soldering.
• Operate electrical/electronic test equipment.
