Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Shop Technician II in the Instrumentation and Control area at our New Stanton, PA facility. On-site, five days a week, you will assemble, test, troubleshoot, and maintain circuitry and electronic components per engineering instructions.

You will also perform inspections and support maintenance and refurbishment of equipment. You will report to the Assistant Area Manager for I&C Operations and contribute to production and maintenance activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2+ years of relevant experience with electrical, mechanical, machining or inspection skills.
• Equivalent education/experience considered.
• Certification for ANSI N45.2.6 inspection is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interpret semi-complex mechanical and electrical drawings, schematics, manuals and procedures.
• Operate test equipment and interpret results to support assembly, repair and refurbishment.
• Plan and assemble mechanical, electrical or pneumatic/hydraulic equipment.
• Coach and mentor others and cooperate with planning and supervision to meet milestones.
