Job summary

Arcadis is seeking an Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) System Design Engineer to join our Resilience Water team in Ohio or Detroit. You will lead I&C and SCADA design for environmental remediation, and municipal water/wastewater projects, coordinating with process, mechanical, and electrical engineers.

Responsibilities include preparing design/construction documents, SCADA architecture, P&ID diagrams, network diagrams, and control narratives; plus field startup and testing, mentoring

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Environmental Engineering or a closely related field of study.
• 5+ years of I&C, Automation, and SCADA system design and implementation experience in water/wastewater market.
• EIT/Professional Engineer license.

Responsibilities

• Produce design and construction documents for projects, coordinating with process, mechanical, and electrical engineers.
• Prepare technical memos, design criteria, SCADA architecture, P&IDs, network diagrams, narratives, schematics, panel layouts, and interconnection diagrams.
• Support planning, design, and construction of water/wastewater facilities, serving as main client contact for I&C needs.
• Lead project management aspects: budgeting, planning, cost estimating, design and execution of SCADA and I&C systems.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers.
