Job summary

LVI Associates is seeking an Assistant Chief Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to join its Power Generation team in Overland Park, KS. The role combines technical leadership with project execution, serving as Lead I&C Engineer on major power generation projects.

The candidate will help shape technical standards, governance, mentoring, and workforce development while coordinating with global execution partners and delivering high-quality engineering solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
Active PE license or equivalent.
11+ years of engineering experience with significant leadership responsibility.
Experience as an EPC Lead I&C Engineer on power generation projects.
Experience leading engineering teams, including global execution partners and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

Lead I&C Engineer on power generation projects from concept to commissioning.
Develop execution strategies, staffing plans, schedules, budgets, and quality requirements.
Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams and coordinate globally distributed resources.
Support proposal development, project reviews, staffing assessments, and execution planning.
Drive continuous improvement focused on quality, efficiency, standardization, and design reuse.
Mentor and develop engineering staff while supporting workforce planning and succession initiatives.
