Job summary

Kiewit Engineering Group, Inc seeks a Senior Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to lead design and execution across EPC projects in industrial markets, including data centers and water treatment.

Based in Lenexa, KS or Lone Tree, CO, the role offers relocation assistance and a path to senior leadership, with opportunities to influence I&C deliverables, cybersecure networks, and field execution across multi-discipline teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Physics, or related engineering discipline.
• 7+ years in industrial I&C design using U.S. codes and standards with experience leading I&C design projects/teams.
• Development of I&C deliverables such as instrument lists, I/O lists, data sheets, loop drawings, control narratives, cause and effect diagrams, network architecture, and installation details.

Responsibilities

• Lead Engineering & Design across all design phases and ensure technical excellence.
• Drive Technical Execution: administer and evaluate instrumentation and control equipment contracts; review vendor packages.
• Support Construction & Commissioning: respond to RFIs, field testing, startup and turnover activities (up to 20% travel).
• Collaborate & Innovate: mentor designers, lead quality checks, work with cross-functional teams.
