Job summary

WSP is seeking an Experienced Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to join our Power Generation Team in Oradell, NJ (with openings in Mt. Laurel, NJ and Overland Park, KS).

You will develop instrumentation and control design documents and coordinate with multi-discipline teams on power projects. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Engineering, 3+ years of I&C experience, and a track record in coordinating subcontractors while maintaining safety and schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering.
• 3+ years of Power Generation Instrumentation and Controls experience.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate subcontractors and others to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
• Uphold safety policies and compliance with health, safety and harassment policies.
• Able to adapt to varying schedules and travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Development of instrumentation and control design documents for power generation projects.
• Coordination with colleagues in other engineering disciplines on multi-discipline projects.
• Coordination with clients, equipment vendors, and contractors on projects.
• Provision of instrumentation and control engineering support to clients, developing criteria and specifications, reviewing documents, monitoring construction, and responding to questions from construction contractors.
• Field commissioning support on project start-up efforts.
