Job summary

Parsons in Pasadena is offering an internship where you will be paired with a mentor in the same discipline and participate in Parsons Early Talent Program, interacting with interns and senior management within the organization.

Under the guidance of a degreed I&C engineer, you will learn control systems, field instrumentation, design/drafting standards, construction practices, and related techniques. The program develops a practical understanding of the engineering design lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Intern candidate must be enrolled in an Engineering curriculum at an accredited college or university and have completed at least two years of studies in mechanical, chemical, or electrical engineering.
• Working knowledge of CAD, AutoCAD / Revit preferred
• Understanding of Microsoft Office Suite
• Major GPA greater than 3.0
• Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Intern paired with a mentor of the same discipline and participate in Parsons Early Talent Program with interns and senior management.
• Under guidance of an I&C engineer, become familiar with control systems, field instrumentation, design/drafting standards, construction practices, and techniques.
• Learn engineering design lifecycle and the role of I&C engineers at Parsons.
• Take and understand engineering notes, specifications, materials of construction, rough sketches, and formalize them into working drawings.
• Develop practical knowledge of electromechanical equipment, facilities, and systems, and their interrelationships within I&C and other engineering disciplines.
