Equipment & Controls, Inc. in Lawrence, PA is seeking an Electrical Controls CAD Designer Intern to learn panel design using AutoCAD and support our engineering team.

You will assist with documentation, wiring diagrams, and I/O drawings under senior engineers to learn customer requirements and prepare drawings for the panel shop. This internship offers hands-on experience with DeltaV and ROC automation systems, exposure to on-site panel shop operations, and collaboration with sales and project

Qualifications

• Pursuing associate or bachelor's degree in Electrical, Controls, Industrial or Design-related Engineering.
• Basic familiarity with AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel.
• Willingness to learn, communicate clearly and work effectively on a team.
• Interest in PLC or DCS systems is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist with control panel design using AutoCAD and maintain a complete document package.
• Assist with control panel mechanical layout and detail drawings.
• Assist with electrical AC/DC power distribution wiring diagrams.
• Assist with I/O card termination wiring diagrams and I/O loop diagrams.
• Assist with electrical schematic wiring diagrams and DCS system network drawings.
• Review I/O lists and help develop wiring drawings with the project team.
• Support sales and engineering by gathering information for technical support and design estimates.
• May travel to customer sites for meetings and field information with guidance.
