Job summary

The Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) Intern role is part of our summer internship program within our Engineering & Development Services group for engineering students seeking hands-on experience on projects across power, renewables, water treatment, and more.

Benefits include mentorship, training, and networking with industry experts. No experience required; must be enrolled in an ABET-accredited engineering program; position is full-time, on-site in Overland Park, KS.

Qualifications

• No experience required for students.
• Current enrollment in ABET accredited engineering program.
• Must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements.

Responsibilities

• Gain experience in a working environment through meaningful work assignments.
• Exposure to Black & Veatch company culture and networking with professionals.
• Perform engineering related tasks under close supervision, familiarizing with design guides, standards, systems and policies.
• Assist in preparing engineering deliverables such as P&IDs, schedules and specifications.
• Exposure to project scope, schedule and budget.
• Participate in internal project reviews and coordinate with project team.
