Job summary

Tank Connection is seeking an Engineering Intern in Parsons, KS for an entry-level role within the engineering department. The intern will gain exposure to multiple engineering functions by collaborating with team members on design, manufacturing, and project management tasks.

Responsibilities include CAD drawing creation, technical document development, and supporting R&D efforts. Candidates should be proactive, capable of multitasking, and able to communicate technical information effectively.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate complex technical information.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and G-Suite.
• Proficient in AutoCAD 2018 and/or Autodesk Inventor 2018 or later (preferred).
• Solid problem-solving skills.
• Able to manage multitask work in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to work proactively and independently on a broad variety of projects.
• Able to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with people in course of work.

Responsibilities

• Research using the internet and other information sources.
• Perform analytical work for design/manufacturing objectives.
• Assist in R&D related projects.
• Create memos, reports and other documents as needed.
• Create/update databases for department needs.
• Develop drawings using established standards and CAD tools.
• Support daily engineering and project management activities.
• Provide progress updates to the team and supervisor.
• Generate approval prints for customer review.
• Present project results to management or department personnel.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
