Job summary

Arizona Public Service (APS) seeks a qualified engineer to support long-range system planning and engineering design at Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station. The role involves technical design work, analyses, and coordination with cross-functional teams on complex projects.

Required are a four-year engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program and experience levels aligned with Level II/III paths. Occupational safety and regulatory requirements apply, with potential shift work and security

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering from ABET accredited institution or equivalent.
Level II requires 2 years of engineering experience; Level III requires 5 years.
Security/compliance readiness for critical infrastructure may apply.

Responsibilities

Prepares engineering plans, designs, analyses, and cost estimates.
Ensure designs meet regulatory, operating, and maintenance requirements.
Interfaces with customers and other departments to align objectives with budgets and schedules.
Presents design results to stakeholders and recommends improvements.
Maintains awareness of current technology and industry developments.
