Job summary

Arizona Public Service seeks a seasoned engineer to design and analyze control systems for PVNGS, performing long-range system planning and engineering support. You will provide technical guidance and lead engineering decisions with cross-functional teams.

The role requires a four-year engineering degree, 2–5 years experience, knowledge of instrumentation and ladder logic, and familiarity with safety standards. Hybrid work and nuclear exposure are possible.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS in engineering or related field.
• IEA recognition or ABET MRA status acceptable.
• Experience in engineering roles; nuclear/utility context preferred.
• Knowledge of instrumentation, PLCs, and control systems.
• Familiarity with safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare plans, designs, analyses, and cost estimates for projects.
• Ensure compliance with design standards, codes and regulations.
• Interface with customers and other departments to align objectives.
• Present designs and study results to stakeholders and leadership.
• Improve department performance through analysis and recommendations.
• Support C&MS/PLC modifications and troubleshooting tasks.
• Stay current with technology and industry developments.
